Today has been a beautiful day in Washington DC! Sunshine, blue skies, and nice white clouds. It’s been a welcome change from this past week with the on and off rain and overcast days.
The photograph here wasn’t taken today though, it was actually taken on Friday out at Skyline Drive. I went out again to photograph the sunrise which this time I was able to unlike last time! After I photographed the sunrise I went to take some pictures of the various waterfalls that are along the drive. As I was driving back near Big Meadows I came to another smaller meadow that was very peaceful looking with a beautiful blue sky. I also really liked the lone tree that hadn’t started leaving out yet. As I started taking pictures I knew I’d like the final result.
This photograph I started processing last night and finished this morning. As soon as my wife saw the image she said it was very calming, she really liked it. So we decided to name it The Zen Meadow.
