What Lies Ahead

What Lies Ahead

With Washington DC being mostly cloudy/overcast today, I figure a foggy photo would fit with how it looks outside.

This photograph was taken out on Skyline Drive in Virginia.   It was back in the fall from last year when I had gone out to see how the leaves were changing colors.  As I was driving along the road I would go in and out of light fog, not a lot but enough that you knew it was there.  I came around a bend to where the road straightened out and I saw this scene.  The road ahead was completely covered in a fog bank, you couldn’t see anything ahead of you.  All the trees and mountain that should have been in front of me just vanished away.  I pulled over to the side of the road to get out and take this photograph.

The along the rest of the way gave a very eerie feeling to the drive!

Equipment used for this photo:
Canon 5D Mark III
Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS Lens
