An early (cold) morning sunrise at the Inner Harbor in Baltimore, MD.
Last week I went up to Baltimore to the Inner Harbor to take pictures of the sunrise. Was amazed at how still and calm the water in the harbor was early in the morning. It was almost glassy smooth. With the lights on all the buildings there were tons of great reflections in the water. This photograph is looking to the east as the sun is rising. You can see the Pratt Street Power Plant, the Hard Rock Cafe guitar sign, National Aquarium, USS Torsk submarine, and the Domino Sugar and Under Armour plants in the distance.
My wife decided to go up with me in the morning to hangout while I took the pictures. I don’t think she was expecting the temperature to be around the freezing point! I was ok, but she definitely got cold after a while:
Afterwards we went to the Blue Moon Cafe to get some breakfast and warm up. If you are in the area and want some good comfort breakfast food, definitely give it a try!
I’ll be heading back to the Inner Harbor in the future, lots of good shots to be taken there. In the meantime, here’s the full resolution zoomable version of this photograph:
