Another early morning sunrise at Skyline Drive as the sun says “Good Morning Virginia”.
I went out to Skyline Drive to see how well the leaves were changing about a week ago. Luckily made it out there just before sunrise. The valley floor next to the mountain was covered in fog again. But luckily above that blanket of fog was mostly clear skies and nicely shaped clouds.
The trees at the higher elevation had started to change, but still not the peak colors. I went two days ago and they have changed a lot more at the higher elevations, still for the majority of the mountain not quite peak. Checkout my article “Fall Foliage Photography” if you’d like to learn when is the best time to go for peak colors!
