While this photo wasn’t taken this morning as the Snowquester starts to hit the Washington DC area, it still shows Lincoln quietly waiting for a good snow fall.
The Washington DC area is supposed to get our big snowfall of the season today and tonight. The media has already dubbed it “Snowquester” in honor of the political sequester going on. It is DC after all, so we have to name it something to do with politics! This morning when I got up (before the sun had even started to think about lighting up the sky!), it was mostly raining outside. There was some snow on the grassy areas, but nothing major. Now at about 8:30AM we’re starting to get some big white flakes. For the DC area they are calling for 5-10″ right now, out further west in Front Royal, VA they are predicting 12+”. As with all snow falls, we won’t know till it’s finally over!
Till then, Lincoln will be quietly sitting and waiting on the snow.
