I took this photograph, Night Scaffolding, last night at the reflecting pool in front of the Lincoln Memorial. Even though it was a Sunday night and it was 9:30PM, there were still lots of tourists walking around in the area!
After our week long heat wave in the DC area we’ve been enjoying some pretty mild weather. Last night was great, in the 70s and not the normal humidity we have here in August. Which I’m sure helped to keep the tourists out after dark!
There wasn’t much wind either, so other than the little bugs landing in the water of the reflecting pool the water was nice and flat. Which gave a really nice reflection of the illuminated Washington Monument with the scaffolding.
