While I had the Canon 6D I shot a lot of raw images around DC that I put up on this website for others to download and look at. Having the original raw files lets someone see exactly what the camera can and can’t do. Just looking at jpegs from the camera won’t tell you the whole story.
One morning after I was out taking pictures of other areas with the Canon 5D Mark II, Canon 5D Mark III, and Canon 6D to put up on the website for others to download I ended by going over to the Jefferson Memorial. I didn’t think I was going to get anything good since the sky was completely clear. There wasn’t a cloud in the sky that I could see! But what I was greeted with when I got over to the Tidal Basin was fairly calm water and a beautiful reflection of the Jefferson Memorial in the water. All I had to do was wait a little while in the cold for the sun to get closer to crossing the horizon for the pinks in the sky to start appearing.
