I actually took this photograph last month. This wasn’t the photograph I went out to get, but I’m glad I did get it with the moon over the bridge before it was gone.
My original plan was to take a photograph of the sunrise in DC, wasn’t settled on a specific spot really. But as I was driving over Roosevelt Bridge into DC and looked towards Georgetown I saw fog on the Potomac River. The moon was visible in the early morning sky and I knew it would be setting soon. I decided to go over to the Georgetown Waterfront Park and see what it looked like. The angle there was just what I was looking for, the moon setting over Key Bridge and Rosslyn in the distance.
