It’s been pretty warm here in Washington DC this past week, so to cool off I decided to post a photograph I took back in January of this year. It’s the lead scout at the Korean War Memorial.
This foggy approach to the Lincoln Memorial was taken back on the same night I shot “The Bridge To Nowhere” photograph.
I took this photograph of Memorial Bridge with the Lincoln Memorial and Washington Monument in the distance Friday afternoon after a storm had passed through the area.
Along Skyline Drive are many hiking trails that you can park and enjoy a trip through nature. Some of the trails follow streams that have waterfalls on them. Most of the waterfalls are away from the drive, so takes a little hiking to get there. But there are some that are close to the road, like Naked Creek Falls.
If the are lucky and the air is very still, you can get a nice reflection of the Jefferson Memorial in the Tidal Basin.
A couple of weeks ago I went out to Skyline Drive again to take pictures. Got there in time to capture a nice pink sunrise.
