Nothing like hanging out under a bridge on a nice sunny day.
This past week we’ve gotten a couple of days with some sunshine. Still cold out, but at least some sun and blue skies. I’ve been wanting to go down and take some pictures from next to Key Bridge towards the boathouses along the DC shore, so this week my wife and I went down and hung out under the bridge one evening. There’s actually a hiking path that leads to this location, it’s part of the Potomac Heritage Trail. It might look like we went to extreme measures to get to this spot, but it was actually pretty easy. Near us a man was fishing in the Potomac River. While we were there he caught a huge catfish. I wouldn’t have thought fish that big were in the Potomac River this close to DC!
But while there I took this photograph looking through one of the arches of the bridge towards the Washington Harbour. I really liked all the texture on the underside of the bridge. As for the boathouses, pictures of them came out ok, but not what I had in my mind. So I’ll be going back again to get the photo I know can happen when the conditions are right!
