This was taken early last month. On a day when there were clear blue skies and the temperature out wasn’t as hot as it has been.
I took this photograph from Roosevelt Island. If you walk along the trail that follows the outside of the island there are many spots where you can walk over to the water. There’s one spot that gives you a really nice view of Key Bridge, the boathouses under the arches, and Georgetown University in the background. But you also have to be at that spot at the right time, when the tide is low. If the water is high after a lot of rain then the rocks you need to stand on are covered by the Potomac River.
