These photographs of a deer on Skyline Drive in VA are from back in the fall of 2012 when the leaves were changing color.

Back in the fall I went out to Skyline Drive when the leaves were changing to take pictures.  I had gotten there before sunrise and had already traveled along the drive for a good distance before turning around.  On the way back I came around a corner where there was an overlook turn off and saw this deer just behind the brick wall. I slowed down and pulled off the road, but my camera was in the trunk!  I slowly got out of the car and opened the truck to get my camera.  Once I had it I started talking pictures, luckily he didn’t decide to run off!  For some of the shots the deer decided to stand in just the right spot so I could get the bright orange leaves behind as the background.
