With Veterans Day Weekend coming up I decided to post a photo of the soldiers raising the flag at Iwo Jima. I took this photograph of the Iwo Jima Memorial on the same morning I took the last one, Forged In Fire. All I had to do was have patience and wait for the colors of the sky to change United States.
If it’s close to Halloween, that means it’s pumpkin carving time! This year I carved my new-born son’s face into a pumpkin. The video is ok, didn’t have the camera positioned right though. If you are interested in doing one of these yourself checkout my tutorial.
If you go see Jefferson in the morning you’ll almost always have the memorial all to yourself.
I actually took this photograph last month. This wasn’t the photograph I went out to get, but I’m glad I did get it with the moon over the bridge before it was gone.
Great Falls Park is an area I haven’t photographed a lot of, but I’ll definitely be going back again to take more shots.
This has been a photograph that I’ve had in my mind for over a year to take. I knew that photographing the Iwo Jima Memorial when the sky is fire red would make a good photograph. Luckily this morning everything came together!
During the early morning hours the area around the National Gallery of Art on the mall is pretty quiet.
While it might be a little hard to tell in this Lincoln Memorial reflection, part of the water in the reflecting pool was frozen!
If you go to the US Capitol early in the morning you can get a nice reflection in the water. But, you have to get there before the ducks wake-up!
