Just last week we had a threat of getting a lot of snow, and then today we get beautiful high 50s/low 60s degree sunny weather! Who’s ready for spring??
If you live in the Washington DC area I’m sure you enjoyed the weather today. Just last week we had the threat of “Snowquester” coming through the area that could have dropped up to 10 inches of snow on DC. It would have been our biggest snow fall this season. But alas, “Snowquester” was “no-quester” for DC. The surrounding areas got a decent amount of snow, but close to the city, not much at all.
Less than a week later we get a beautiful weekend! Sunshine, warm weather, the feel of spring around the corner. Even some flowers have started to bloom.
This photograph was taken at the Lyndon Baines Johnson Memorial Grove park along the Potomac river in Washington DC. My wife and I drove past the park yesterday while going to Old Town Alexandria in the day. When we drove by I noticed the yellow flowers and the large evergreen trees that framed the Washington Monument. I knew it would make a great photograph. This afternoon while the sun was getting lower on the horizon we went down and I setup my camera to capture this beautiful spring scene you see here!
