Early Morning Jog by the Monuments

Monument Early Morning Jog

Even before the sun starts shining in Washington DC, you can still find people out around the monuments.

On Friday I went to the Lincoln Memorial to take some pictures before the sunrise.  The sky was completely clear, no clouds could be seen at all.  Before the sun got close to crossing the horizon you could see lots of stars in the sky, not something you normally experience while in DC!

The reflecting pool which is between the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument has been renovated.  It finally provides a nice reflection of the Washington Monument and the US Capitol when viewed from the Lincoln Memorial.  While taking pictures of the Washington Monument reflected in the water, a lone female jogger ran by.  I was able to capture her just before she left the edge of the frame.
